mentoring not teaching
Mentoring not teaching in the traditional sense. That's the philosphy informing art instruction for kids and adults. It's an open studio-based approach in which guidance is tailored to the skill levels, needs and interests of each aspiring artist.
As required, students receive instruction in artistic technique and suggestions for setting and achieving individual artistic objectives. It's just like having your own personal artist as a mentor. Because that's what it is.
Students age ten and up typically take a two-hour lesson once a week. Children between seven and ten have one-hour classes. For available days, fees and to register please see the registration page.
In addition to lessons and workshops we offer a sitting are and a gallery space. The gallery may be booked for individuals or group exhibitions.
Lessons are booked by appointment and are tailored to each individals needs and skill level. Everyone will receive one-on-one instruction.
